WHITE PASS, Wash. — The 2012 ski season wraps up this weekend for the White Pass Ski Area.
Sunday is the last day to hit the slopes.
The area already has seen about five-inches of fresh snow in the last 24 hours, according to spokesperson Kathleen Goyette.
White Pass will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for both days.
Although it’s the final weekend, Goyette says they don’t expect a large turnout this time of year.
“Typically once we hit May, people have so many other activities on their books that it’s not a big ski weekend, but all of the diehards will be here,” Goyette explained.
Goyette says White Pass Ski Area will be charging half-day rate prices on lift tickets for a full-day of skiing, because of their modified schedule.
“We are running modified hours because we anticipate some warmer temperatures at the end of this weekend. And the snow conditions are just much better,” she said.
