CORNELIUS, N.C. – Authorities are investigating a jet ski crash that left one teenager in critical condition.
The crash happened on Ramsey Creek Saturday afternoon. According to the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission, two teenage brothers were on the water. Witnesses say they stopped to talk to one another while on board their jet skis. They both circled around and ended up colliding head on.
Wild Life officer Kyle Voris tells NewsChannel 36, one of the brothers ended up running over the other. One of the siblings remains in critical condition with a lot of facial broken bones, according to Voris.
“They had just had a boating safety course,” said Voris.
Voris says the injured teenager is expected to survive.
Voris doesn’t anticipate any citations, but the investigation is still ongoing.
