Tour du Mont-Blanc Challenges Cyclists While they Witness World Class Mountain Vistas

Gaillard (Greater Geneva) – France (PRWEB) February 05, 2013

The French cycling company Cyclomundo just announced its exciting Tour de Mont-Blanc, which will allow experienced cyclists to test their skills as they travel through the Alpine regions in France, Italy and Switzerland. The tour, which begins June 5, 2013, includes over 8000 meters of climbs as well as world-renowned mountain views. Cyclomundo arranges all of the logistics for participants who opt to embark on this 5 day tour. Reservations can be made through the company website located at

To begin the tour, participants arrive in Geneva and are transferred to the resort village of Combloux, France. On the second day, they travel through the French ski area of Chamonix and ascend through the first mountain pass at Col des Montets before crossing into Switzerland and ending in Champex.

The next day, cyclists ride through stunning gorges and a twelve kilometer ascent to the Col de Champex as well as a second epic climb to the Col du Grand Saint Bernard. The third night is spent in Italy. On day 4 of the adventure, participants plunge down the mountain into France, witnessing the panoramic views of the Vanoise National Park. Later, cyclists ascend the 1657 m Col des Saisies, which is near where the 1992 Winter Olympics were held. They also ride Col du Cormet de Roselend in the Beaufortain part of the Alps. Incidentally, Beaufortain is known for its Beaufort cheese. On day 5, Cyclomundo transfers visitors back to Geneva.

On June 5th, the Tour de Mont-Blanc will operate on a scheduled basis. However, provided that passes are open, it can be organized on a self-guided basis on any dates for groups of 6 or more. The tour can also be scheduled with a support vehicle and/or with a riding guide. Due to the fact that Cyclomundo is located in France, the company can provide a variety of convenient services to assist cyclists with their ride. For example, transfers to and from the Geneva airport are included as well as breakfasts, hotel accommodations, some lunches and dinners, maps and itineraries. Cyclomundo’s French location enables the company to adapt this tour to better meet clients needs.

Cyclomundo’s founder Bruno Toutain stated,”We focus on taking care of our participant’s needs. This way they can focus on the two main things they came for- the beautiful scenery of the Alps and their cycling!” Before founding the business, Toutain was an avid cyclist and also worked 15 years in the travel industry.
